Tri-County High School students took to the stage Friday, April 10, with a lively performance of “Complaint Department and Lemonade,” a humorous and thought-provoking play that kept audiences entertained from start to finish.

Set in a quirky complaint department, the production followed a cast of characters airing their grievances, ranging from working in another complaint department and the high price of cheese to Oreo icing, kleptomania, and even televisions that fail during a power outage. In a clever twist, the complainers soon found themselves on the other side of the desk, tasked with listening to and resolving the concerns of others. Along the way, they also sampled and critiqued the lemonade provided by the department, adding an extra layer of comedy to the performance.

This year’s cast featured a mix of experienced performers and newcomers. Senior veterans Dani Critten, Julie Courter, and Alexis Neeley led the production, joined by sophomore Bailey Smith, freshman Preston Huskey, and eighth graders Sean Larkin and Ava Rice, all of whom brought energy and charm to the stage.

The play was directed by Alison Lowrey and Andrea Henderson, whose guidance helped bring the production’s humor and message to life.

Concessions, including desserts and drinks provided by Jayla Smith, were available for attendees, rounding out an enjoyable evening of student talent and community entertainment.
