An AMI day allows students to continue learning from home instead of adding a make-up day to the school calendar.

On an AMI day:

  • Students will complete assigned work at home.

  • Lessons and instructions will be provided through our usual learning platforms.

  • Attendance is counted based on participation in the assigned activities. For high school students, attendance is counted for each class, as the student checks in with the teacher via Google Classroom. For all other grade levels, work completed and returned on the next in-person day will count for attendance.

  • If students attempt the AMI work and still need additional help, after reaching out to the teacher, they will have 2 school days to complete the AMI work.

  • Teachers will be available for support during normal school hours. They can be reached via school email, or the Heja app (if your student has a class group on the app).

  • The delivery method for AMI is different for different grades.

Preschoolers will get a message on the Heja app with directions for the day.

Kindergarteners through 6th graders brought home worksheets earlier this year. Please find them and do the assigned pages.

7th - 12th grade will have their assignments posted via Google Classroom by 9:00 a.m on the AMI day.

The goal of AMI is to keep students engaged in learning while maintaining flexibility and safety.

If you ever have questions about AMI assignments or expectations, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or the school office.
