Tri-County Middle School continues to highlight the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens as part of our schoolwide focus on leadership and personal growth. Each month, staff members nominate students who exemplify these habits in their daily lives.

This month, we are proud to recognize Ida Dixon, Mataya Showalter, and Sean Larkin for being selected by staff for their outstanding demonstration of Habit 1: Be Proactive. These students consistently take responsibility for their actions, show initiative in their learning, and set a positive example for their peers. We congratulate them on their leadership and commitment to personal growth.

In addition to student recognition, middle school students had the opportunity to hear from John Kramer of Kramer Construction, who shared his career journey as a contractor. Mr. Kramer emphasized the importance of Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind, explaining how careful planning and goal-setting are essential not only in construction projects but also in everyday life. His message encouraged students to think ahead and visualize the outcomes they want to achieve before taking action.

Together, these recognitions and guest presentations remind us that practicing the 7 Habits builds a strong foundation for success—both in school and beyond.
