Tri-County R-7 Schools: Back-to-School Registration, Open House, and Orientation Information


Tri-County R-7 Schools will be hosting a series of events to prepare students and families for the upcoming school year. Please review the schedule and important details below:


High School Registration – Wednesday, August 13


  • Seniors & Juniors: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Sophomores & Freshmen: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM


Virtual & New Student Registration – Thursday, August 14

  • Virtual Students: 10:00 AM
  • New Students: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM

New students must bring the following documentation to the appropriate school building:

  • Student’s birth certificate
  • Immunization records
  • Proof of residency



Elementary School Open House – Monday, August 18



  • Kindergarten and 3-year old preschoolers Orientation:
  • 3-year olds and their parents will meet in the preschool classroom from 5:30-6:00. 
  • Kindergarten students and their parents will meet in the kindergarten classroom from 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM.
  • All Elementary and 4- year old Families:
    At 6:00 PM, all students and parents will gather in the new gym for a brief meeting including:
    • Title I program overview
    • Positive Behavior Support (PBS) presentation
    • Introduction of staff

  • Following the meeting, families will visit classrooms to drop off supplies and meet their child’s teacher.

Middle School Orientation – Monday, August 19


  • Middle School ( grades 5-8th) Orientation Session: 5:30 PM in the old gym to discuss expectations, PBS, and policies. 
    Students and parents will follow a mock schedule to meet teachers and learn about middle school expectations.
  • Alternate Meet & Greet Opportunity:
    For those unable to attend the full orientation, teachers will be available from 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM on August 19th for questions and brief visits.
