Elementary and middle school students attended summer school for the last three weeks focusing on reading and math skills. The middle school students competed each week for the class with the highest average in mathematical

scores on weekly assessments

. The winning class had a 30-minute party on Friday. The 5th and 6th grade class won the challenge two weeks in a row.

All students took a pre and post test to measure growth.

At the end of the 12-day summer session, assessments were given

to measure student growth. We’re proud to share that out of 49 students in grades 1–8, 28 students either improved or maintained a grade-level or higher score in reading, and 22 students did the same in math

On the last day of summer school the students took a trip to St. Joseph.  Kindergarten through fourth graders went to Fun Run and middle school students went to Ricky Dean’s. All students had a great time!
