North Central Missouri College has named four NCMC students to receive the A+ Outstanding Student Award: Tori Dunks, a graduate of Tri-County R-VII High School; Rylee Kanatzar, a graduate of Central High School; Johannes Oaks, a graduate of Newtown-Harris R-III High School, and Tommy Parks, a graduate of Brookfield R-III High School.
The A+ Outstanding Student Award was established to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of A+ students at North Central Missouri College. Students were selected based on GPA, campus involvement, and instructor/staff recommendations. Each recipient was awarded a $250 scholarship from the Jack N. Young, Mildred M. Young, Noble J. Young, and Myra A. Young Scholarship Fund through the North Central Missouri College Foundation.
Jenna Stevens, Director of Advising and Retention and A+ Coordinator, said, “The Missouri A+ Scholarship Program is a powerful investment in both Missouri’s students and its workforce. By providing the opportunity to earn a two-year post-secondary degree or a credential from a vocational or technical school, the program opens doors to further education or direct entry into the workforce—often with little to no student loan debt. At the same time, it instills accountability, encouraging students to take ownership of their academic performance and future success. Seeing students from diverse backgrounds and educational paths thrive at NCMC through the A+ Scholarship Program highlights its broad and meaningful impact. Through hard work and dedication, Rylee, Tori, Johannes, and Tommy are not just shaping their own bright futures—they are setting an example of perseverance and achievement. We have no doubt they will continue to make a positive impact wherever their educational journey takes them next.”
Tori Dunks said, “A+ has been a big help in covering the cost of classes, allowing me to save for when I transfer. I've been able to further my education and continue pursuing dance without much financial worry.”
