We've been covering Gothic Literature in English II, and the language can be difficult (it's archaic, and incredibly detailed). We had a discussion about using AI as a tool for enhancing learning instead of a crutch that thinks for you; then they were assigned to analyze specific paragraphs for descriptive language, which they then put into ChatGPT to generate images based on those descriptions. We discussed how this helped us to visualize more clearly, comparing how we initially pictured the scene versus the way the generations of those scenes appeared. They broke up into small groups and discussed specific aspects of their work. It was fun, and a great way to help them become fully immersed in the environment and setting of Edgar Allan Poe.
